Meeting with the Pink Elephantby ~dsantat

I've been on a spy kick lately..... I painted ths piece for the Lunar Boy gallery show up in Astoria Oregon next month. The theme was "Pink Elephants" so in order to paint something other than your trypical pink elephants and/or drunks I made this painting of a spy wearing a lapel which indicates that he's the intended drop off for the Russian Secret Agent in the background.

It was done in gouache because it's been such a long time since I used the medium and it's fast....... I also notice that my style changes with the different medium.

I like the woman. I like the fountain. I like the background. I like the pinks and the blues. Very decorative. But I don't like the man in the foreground. The woman actually looks a lot more mysterious and interesting than he does...
